Ponpon – Shared heated Pool

PonPon, a self- contained 2 bedroom modern mid-terrace, recently redecorated. PonPon, the old implement shed is now split over two floors and shares a 8 X 4 meter heated salt water pool with Bijou.

A shaded terraces with dining table and chairs overlook the pool at the front and a large terrace overlook the garden and canal at the back, which is also home for the gas 4 burner BBQ. With free unlimited fast Fiber WiFi you are all set to relax and unwind after a hard day around the pool.

The Lounge opens out on the south facing terrace, with views onto the Pool and terrace garden. The modern kitchen and dining area have double doors opening out onto the rear tiled patio terrace with views over the garden and canal.

The master bedroom offers the comfort of a double bed overlooking the canal and has its own en-suite. The twin/double beds in the front room overlooking the pool are ideal for children and adults and offer flexibility in sleeping arrangements. A cot and all baby/toddler facilities, washing bath, rocker, buggy, car seats, potty, high-chair are all provided on request. PonPon also has an upstairs modern bathroom with a shower over bath.

PonPon and Bijou’s shared 8 X 4 meter heated salt water pool. Solar electric is used to heat the pool so from 1st of May to 30th October the pools are generally between 26 and 28 degrees. There are 10 sun lounger’s provided around the paved pool terrace and additional loungers are situated alongside the canal and in the main garden for those that want to hide away. PonPon’s rear shaded terrace provides an escape from the harsh sun. A shaded area adjacent to the shared Pool side Baa Baa (a kiwi thing) Bar with its summer kitchen, stocked with an honesty bar full of local beers & wines, soft drinks and complementary tea and coffee making facilities.

PonPon is secure and has secure parking covered by CCTV. All of Les Petites Ecuries is fenced and secure, the entrance, terrace and garden areas are all covered by recorded CCTV. There is excellent WIFI around both bars and garden. There is no CCTV coverage around either pool. PonPon has direct access to the ½ acre garden and to the Canal Bar and the gates onto the Canal du Midi tow path.

PonPon has the a 4 burner Gas BBQ so the men can demonstrate their cooking skills. We offer local wines as we have a couple of caves in the village. We have a good selection of wines priced from 6 – 9 euros a bottle for purchase.

PonPon is well equipped with all essential items provided. WiFi Internet, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Fridge/Freezer, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Cool Box, Flat screen TV with hundreds of TV Channels (including English, Dutch, French). All gites have a smart TV with access to internet and you can access your own Netflix account. All gites have a  Nintendo Wi, Docking station for iPod/iPhone and an assortment of cables should you forget something.

We provide all linen and towels; we even provide pool and beach towels at no extra cost to help conserve valuable luggage weight.

PonPon is close to Carcassonne Golf course which has a beautiful 18 hole Par 71 – 5,758 metre golf course playable all year round with views of the Pyrenees and which is only a 20 minute drive away.
